after the cataract was removed

even target was magic
the black puppy in the little girl's hand
the parakeet on the man's shoulder
the whipped creamed drinks my children begged for
the pop star shopping
alone and without
a cap or shades
his body guard waiting
by the honda in the lot
the firemen in their red red trucks
even the obese family of three
each with the same
sad, stoic face

because because because
because my eyes could see

  2. I so empathize with this. I went temporarily blind in my right eye(for no reason doctors could determine) this time last year. When the vision started to come back, the miracle of depth perception was just too much. <3
